Following breakfast, our journey leads us to Sonamarg, a mesmerizing destination situated 3,000 meters above sea level, approximately a 4-hour drive from Srinagar. Translating to ‘meadow of gold,’ Sonamarg enchants with its snow-capped peaks, gushing streams, and expansive meadows. This picturesque spot offers opportunities for trekking or opting for pony rides (payment directly to the service provider). A must-visit is the Thajiwas Glacier, retaining its snow cover year-round, inviting exploration.

Upon completing our Sonamarg excursion, we return to Srinagar for an overnight stay at the hotel, cherishing the day’s experiences amidst nature’s splendor.

Following an early breakfast, we embark on a journey to Pahalgam, a breathtaking and enchanting resort destination that captivates visitors throughout the year. En route, we pause to explore the scenic Saffron fields of Pampore, the historical Awantipura ruins, and the revered Mattan temple.

Arriving in Pahalgam, we’re welcomed by its sheer beauty and allure. Nestled amidst majestic fir and pine-covered mountains, Pahalgam is a true gem, situated at the convergence of the Lidder River. The setting evokes a sense of paradise, offering a serene ambiance.

While here, one can opt for invigorating treks or pony rides to the idyllic Baisaran meadow, merely 5 km away. Alternatively, explore further by hiring a local car to discover Aru, Chandanwari, and the picturesque Betab Valley. The evening is spent indulging in the tranquility of Pahalgam before retiring for the night at the hotel, cherishing the day’s escapades amidst this natural splendor.

Following an early breakfast, our journey continues to Gulmarg, where we check into the hotel. Upon refreshing, guests have the option to take a leisurely stroll or opt for pony rides (payment directly to service providers) to explore the renowned attractions such as the Famous Golf Course, St. Mary’s Church, and Rani Temple.

The highlight of the day is the exhilarating Gondola (Cable Car) ride, the highest in Asia, offering a memorable experience. The Gondola operates in two phases: the first stage starts from the Gulmarg resort at 2,600 meters (8,530 feet) and transports guests to the picturesque Kongdoori Station in the beautiful Kongdori valley. The second phase, equipped with 36 cabins and 18 towers, elevates visitors to an impressive height of 3,747 meters (12,293 feet) on Kongdoori Mountain, a foothill of the nearby Afarwat Peak (4,200 meters or 13,780 feet).

After an exhilarating day exploring Gulmarg’s scenic marvels and experiencing the Gondola ride, we retire for a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel, cherishing the day’s memorable escapades.
